Smokey Hollow Records

We take our name from the stunning Smokey Hollow waterfall, located just a few minutes down the road from our studio. This short and fast-flowing 10m waterfall is surrounded by a stunning section of the Bruce Trail. It has a rugged footpath tracing its way up and down the ravine formed by the Niagara Escarpment.

Once used to power a local sawmill, the falls are now the centre of a beautifully rehabilitated park land steeped in local history.

It’s not everyday you get to say a waterfall is your literal neighbour, so choosing this name as a nod to both the local history and current scenic preservation of Waterdown was the obvious choice.
