A Milestone For Haydons Place

10th Anniversary of “Atlas” to be marked with special re-release

How has it been a decade?! 10 years on since Haydons Place put out their debut record “The Atlas EP”, and their music still feels just as refreshing and uplifting.

The Atlas EP came about in the spring of 2010, when frontman Christian penned and produced a euro-pop inspired song called “Obsession”. Off the back of that song, friendships with Steven, Antonio and Terry were formed and it wasn’t long before the foursome came together with a vision to recreate “Obsession” in pop/rock’s image.

From there, more songs flowed and, taking inspiration from popular bands like The Fray, The Script and Coldplay, they crafted a five track EP that put pop/rock front and centre. And it was a success too. The EP gathered over 100,000 plays on their Myspace page by November 2010 (remember Myspace?).

The band gigged this EP hard, taking their sound all over the south west of England. This culminated with a high profile gig at The 100 Club in London (where bands like The Rolling Stones and Oasis once cut their teeth) and then, finally, a sell out show at The Hobgoblin, a quirky venue in Staines.

To mark this 10 year milestone, we are re-releasing “Atlas” as a full album. Not only does it feature the original five songs, specially remastered for this re-release, but it also features five additional tracks that let you into the pre-Atlas world. There are demos of early versions of the original songs, as well as live recordings from some of their 2010 shows.

Not only this, but for the first time, “Atlas” is now available on vinyl as a 12″ LP.

So, if you’re a die hard Haydons Place fan, this is the release for you! New tracks, new formats and a new perspective on those days from the start of the last decade.
