Lauryn’s second single “Gone” comes a little out of left field when compared to her debut single, but by every measure, that’s a good thing. “Gone” sees Lauryn expand her comfort zones, both musically and lyrically, as she confronts what it means to lose faith in relationships and battle the demons that lie therein.

Fuzzy electric guitars, deep hip hop beats and laid back vocals all come together in this track to deliver a driving, forceful follow up to the sweet idealism of “Weightless in the Moment”. Indeed, “Gone” shows us another side of Lauryn, one that is equal parts captivating, surprising and memorable.
